A dragon with the strongest power, sent from an ancient world to the present day through reincarnation magic to defeat Hitogami, who destroyed the Dragon’s world.
Second among the Seven Great Powers.
Strongly despises the entity known as “Hitogami” and operates with the goal of its eradication.
He initially rescued Nanahoshi, who had been caught up in the Teleport Incident in the Fittoa region, and then they traveled together.
Boasts overwhelming combat abilities, living up to the nickname “World’s Strongest.” Can use all the skills and techniques in the human world with God-class proficiency, in addition to Dragon God’s unique magic.
Despite the curse that elicits fear or disgust from almost all beings in the world, he has a warm and genuine personality. He is kind to allies and possesses great magnanimity, even toward those he deems as pawns of “Hitogami’s Apostle,” who can become a threat to Hitogami.
Has a difficult time with communication and is often tongue-tied, often changing topics abruptly, and having difficulty conveying essential information due to his speech impediment. Communicating with him is challenging for anyone who is not a human capable of reading Orsted’s movements and thoughts like Rudeus.
Despite his kind nature, he ruthlessly eliminates “Hitogami’s Apostles,” individuals manipulated by Hitogami, to prevent Hitogami from gaining an advantage, but he may spare or attempt to recruit them depending on the situation.
Due to a secret technique cast by the First Dragon God, he experiences a time loop, repeating 200 years between Armored Dragon Calendor 330 and Armored Dragon Calendor 530.
Constantly consumes mana due to the secret technique, making it difficult for him to use his full power, as mana recovery is 1000 times slower than normal.
His goal is to prevent Hitogami from creating a world where Hitogami is dominant until he obtains the Five Dragon Generals’ secret treasures, which are required to reach Hitogami’s world.
Rudeus proposed that he should adopt the title of Dragon King to facilitate negotiations with other nations. However, Orsted expressed strong disapproval and anger towards this proposal, stating, “They live freely with their petty pride and die for meaningless vendettas.
Biography
Born in the dragon world over 20,000 years ago, he was reincarnated into the present day by the First Dragon God using a reincarnation spell, as the dragon world was destroyed by Hitogami.
Reincarnated as a baby before gaining consciousness, he initially had no knowledge of Hitogami or the secret arts and wondered about his identity and the reason for repeating time until taught by Laplace, who regained his memories.
Rescued Nanahoshi during “The Fittoa Region Teleport Incident” and traveled with her for about a year.
When Rudeus, Eris, and Ruijerd met while traveling towards the Fittoa region in the Red Dragon Mountain Range called “Red Dragon’s lower jaw”, they engaged in old tales as if Eris and Ruijerd were acquaintances from the past.
When Rudeus answered “yes” to Orsted’s question about whether he recognized the word “Hitogami,” Orsted made an instant decision to kill Rudeus. He proceeded to incapacitate Ruijerd without causing lasting harm, defeated Eris using the Water God Style technique, and overwhelmingly subdued and killed Rudeus. However, following advice from Nanahoshi, who was traveling with them, Rudeus was revived.
Orsted made Rudeus his comrade with the condition of protecting Rudeus’s family, believing that Rudeus could see fate through the First Dragon God’s secret technique.
Curse
A curse that causes disgust or fear in all creatures of this world.
When others sense mana from him, they perceive a constant aura of hostility even if he is not actively hostile, making them view him with suspicion.
This effect is incredibly potent. Once the curse activates, normal judgment is impaired, and even when informed of the curse, it is not believed. Instead, excessive caution and distrust prevail, often leading to unnecessary hostility.
While this curse affects most creatures in the world, it does not affect Perugius, who has Dragon race blood.
It does not work on beings from otherworldly realms beyond the Six-Faced World, and in the case of reincarnates, it does not affect their descendants.
Exceptions exist, with some individuals possessing the mental strength to overcome the curse, such as Eris, Ruijerd, and Ariel.
To mitigate the curse, he wears a helmet crafted by Cliff.
The curse is believed to originate from the fear of the First Dragon God, who annihilated the Human Realm and Dragon Realm.
Reincarnation Law
A secret technique developed by the First Dragon God to defeat Hitogami.
If he dies while Hitogami is alive or when the year becomes the year 530 of the Armored Dragon Calendar due to the Reincarnation Law, he is forcibly time-leaped back to the year 330 of the Armored Dragon Calendar.”
The location he is sent to after the time leap is the forest in the northern part of the Central Continent.
The abilities inherited through this Reincarnation Law are knowledge and skills. During the initial ten years of each reincarnation, he focuses on physical training.
Due to the law’s disconnection from the world’s order, Hitogami cannot see the future or the present involving Dragon GodOrsted.
Orsted has not kept count of the number of times he has reincarnated using this secret technique beyond 100 years.
Combat Skills
According to Hitogami, he is ranked second among the Seven Great Powers, but in reality, he possesses the strongest combat abilities in the world. he surpasses even the Technique God, Laplace, who is top ranked among the Seven Great Powers, as a counterpart to the complete form of the Demon Dragon KingLaplace, when he is serious.
He can use all existing techniques and skills, including the unique magic of the Dragon God, with a proficiency level surpassing that of God-class. He is said to be capable of feats like “blowing away mountains and forests with a single strike” and “reading the opponent’s movements like foreseeing the future.” Even fearsome creatures like the ferocious red dragon horde of the central continent, or formidable God-class swordsmen and sorcerers like Water God Reida Reia and the “Armored Dragon King” Perugius, fear that they would have no chance in a battle against him.
Has a habit of observing new techniques when he encounters them. “Sword God” Gal Farion has analyzed that this habit might be his weakness.
Can release the “Longsword of Light” one-handed or even barehanded, despite normally requiring both hands, and can use the secret techniques of other schools with ease.
