The head knight and loyal guardian of Ariel Anemoi Asura, the Second Princess of the Asura Kingdom.
He has been raised alongside Ariel since childhood and serves as her most trusted confidant.
He is the second son of the Notos Greyrat family, one of the Four Great Lords of the Asura Kingdom, alongside the Boreas Greyrat family. His father, Pilemon, is Paul’s younger brother, making him Rudeus’ cousin.
Unlike his father Pilemon, who seeks to solidify the influence and position of the Notos family by pushing Ariel to the throne, Luke wholeheartedly pledges his loyalty to Ariel as her knight and respects her will. Initially, he lived a carefree life alongside Ariel, but when she decided to aim for the throne, he became her staunch supporter.
During his time at the Ranoa Magic University, he worked to expand Ariel’s influence while serving as her guardian alongside Fitz and others. His involvement in student council activities was part of this effort.
When Ariel was pursued by assassins and sent to Ranoa Magic University for safety, Luke’s younger brother, Luke, also enrolled in the university, wearing the school uniform.
He has always been fond of women, and his womanizing tendencies are well-known. He is a ladies’ man and has a reputation for dating up to two women at once.

He has chestnut hair and sports an all-back hairstyle.
Rudeus once commented that Luke resembles Paul and is one of the most handsome men in the Asura Kingdom.
Character Profiles
He openly admits to being a womanizer. He is always surrounded by women, and he excels at finding the strengths of women, although he primarily uses this skill to identify “troublesome women” whom he should avoid.
He holds strong male chauvinistic beliefs, such as “A wife should obey her husband’s words” and “A man can have multiple women within the limits he finds acceptable.” These beliefs have led to him being disliked by some women, especially for his actions and behavior toward them.
He is seen as a womanizer by both his friends and others, and his relationships with women are often problematic, similar to Paul.
Despite his womanizing tendencies, he holds a deep sense of loyalty to his liege, Ariel. His loyalty to her transcends romantic relationships, and he reveres her as a special presence in his life.
During negotiations with Perugius regarding support for Ariel’s bid for the throne, Luke’s trust in Rudeus was undermined when Hitogami spread false information, sowing seeds of doubt about Rudeus’ intentions, including claims that Rudeus was only interested in Ariel for her body and had joined forces with the senior minister Dalius.
During the journey back to the Asura Kingdom, Pilemon, the head of the Notos Greyrat family, who had previously supported Ariel’s claim to the throne, betrayed her when he saw the tides turning against him. Luke, in contrast, had become resolute in his support of Ariel’s bid for the throne.
He was briefly swayed by Orsted’s curse of abhorrence and fear in the royal palace, which led to doubts about Rudeus and suspicions that Rudeus might be conspiring with Orsted to harm Ariel. These doubts culminated in a confrontation where Luke drew his sword against Ariel.
He prepared to accept execution for his actions, but Ariel spared him and allowed him to live, also sparing Pilemon.
Following these events, Luke assumed the position of head of the Notos Greyrat family, replacing Pilemon.
In the original timeline known to Orsted, Luke married Eris.
In the timeline of the elderly Rudeus, he died in battle while traveling with Ariel and Sylphiette, their deaths being publicly displayed as those of criminals who disrupted the peace of the royal capital.
Combat Abilities
Despite being a guardian knight, his sword skills are relatively low, having trained in intermediate-level Paul-style and beginner-level Water God-style swordsmanship. Sylphiette even considers him weak.
