While on a request to collect mysterious eggs witnessed in the Petrified Forest, they are attacked by monsters, resulting in Gablin’s death.
Ruijerd reproached Rudeus for not immediately aiding Gablin. However, he pointed out that Gablin, being an adventurer himself, would have been prepared for the possibility of death. Ruijerd stated that Gablin’s demise was his own responsibility, as he had underestimated the danger level of the request. Ruijerd recognized him as a full-fledged warrior.
He was initially frightened when Ruijerd’s Sperd tribe identity was revealed, but after being saved by Rudeus, he took on the task of spreading good rumors about Ruijerd in the city of Rikarisu as a token of gratitude.
