Character Overview
The sole survivor of the ancient Seven Gods. Resides in the world of Nothingness among the seven worlds.
Identifies as “Human God,” an entity of unknown origin.
Appeared in Rudeus’s dreams after the Fittoa Region Teleport incident, providing various advice to Rudeus sporadically.
He claims to help because it seems interesting.
He refers to himself as Hitogami, a name given by the first Dragon God, distinct from the Human God “Jinshin” created by the Creator God. Demon Dragon GodLaplace speculates that an entity born in the world of Nothingness, unacknowledged by the Creator God, took over or absorbed the Human God “Jinshin.”
He is known to enter people’s dreams and communicate with their minds, but his current purpose remains unknown.
He guides people by conveying favorable futures as “prophecies” in dreams, aiming to create situations that benefit him.
All Dragon Gods, including Orsted, exist to kill Hitogami.
Hitogami resides in the world of Nothingness within the six-faced world, and it seems one must gather the secret treasures of the Five Dragon Generals to reach his location.
Appearance
Features a plain, featureless white face.
His entire body is a white silhouette, and when in the world of Nothingness, his form appears blurred with a mosaic-like effect, making it difficult to perceive clearly.
Character Settings
He teases Rudeus and approaches him in a friendly manner, but Rudeus senses a strong intention to deceive.
He possesses a “curse of being trusted by others,” causing those he contacts to be effectively manipulated and controlled. However, this curse does not affect Rudeus, an otherworldly individual, leading to occasional skepticism from Rudeus.
Despite presenting himself as benevolent, Hitogami is inherently vile. The advice he provides, though sounding considerate, is ultimately used for his own gain.
He takes pleasure in a depraved inclination, reveling in the destruction of those who had placed their trust in him due to his previous advice.
His character exhibits traits of a scoundrel, including a shameless aptitude for lying, an irresponsible tendency to shift blame onto others for his own mistakes, and a tendency to panic and scream in unexpected situations.
If one knows Hitogami’s true nature, the effects of the “curse of being trusted by others” do not take hold. Even when claiming to have been betrayed by Rudeus, who had previously deceived and betrayed others, he is easily seen through as merely attempting to deceive.
He takes pleasure in mocking and belittling humans who suffer from being deceived by him, displaying qualities fitting of an outright scoundrel. Orsted describes him as a “wretched bastard” and even his allied apostles criticize him as a “guy who either ends up with unfavorable results, whether making an enemy or an ally” and as an “evil god.”
Hitogami is the name given by the first Dragon God to distinguish him from the “Human God (Jinshin).”
Capabilities
Farsight
Similar to Kishirika Kishirisu’s All-Seeing Eyes, this ability allows Hitogami to pinpoint the location of people worldwide. However, Hitogami’s farsight is much more powerful. He used this ability to locate Zenith and inform Geese of his whereabouts. All-Seeing Eyes cannot penetrate places with dense magical power, such as the depths of a labyrinth.
Precognition
Hitogami possesses an extraordinarily potent ability to foresee the future, simultaneously glimpsing the fates of three individuals.
This ability far surpasses the Foresight Eyes (Devil eyes), which can foresee minutes or seconds ahead. Hitogami can foresee up to the turning point of an era.
Hitogami interferes with the fates of individuals using this ability, manipulating events to his advantage.
According to Hitogami, this is a variant of the Devil Eyes ability.
Hitogami claims that if he were to cease foreseeing his own future destiny, he could simultaneously foresee the fates of more than three people.
Curse of Trusted Belief in Others
This ability allows Hitogami to be unquestionably trusted by others, without any hint of skepticism.
Those affected by the curse perceive Hitogami as a divinely radiant presence, and his manner of speaking appears kind and courteous.
This ability is in stark contrast to the curse held by the Dragon GodOrsted, which instills absolute aversion and fear in all creatures. However, while Orsted’s curse leaves no room for doubt and imparts an impression of absolute terror, Hitogami’s curse can be influenced by Hitogami’s words and actions, allowing room for change in the impression it gives. As a result, not everyone who encounters Hitogami holds a favorable impression of him.
This curse does not affect otherworldly individuals like Rudeus.
Hitogami killed the companions and prominent figures of the gods from the five worlds, including Lunaria, the wife of the first Dragon God. He manipulated them into conflict, inciting a war in the Six-faced world, ultimately leading to the indirect destruction of four worlds. He shifted the blame onto the Dragon God.
Hitogami instigated the lead of the Five Dragon Generals, Szilard, and engaged him in battle with the Dragon God, who had become aware of Hitogami’s machinations. Seizing the opportunity, Hitogami inflicted a mortal wound on the Dragon God, ultimately leading to his demise. After personally obliterating the realm of dragons, Hitogami emerged victorious in the battle against the severely wounded Dragon God. Subsequently, he took refuge within the barrier of the world of Nothingness.
During the Second Human-Demon War, Hitogami manipulated the “Fighting God” and eliminated Demon Dragon KingLaplace, one of the last surviving Five Dragon Generals. This act resulted in a massive crater forming in the continent and led to the deaths of both the Fighting God and Kishirika Kishirisu.
Hitogami deliberately leaked information to Geese about a certain Demon King’s weakness, which inadvertently spread knowledge about his own vulnerability. When the Demon King learned that it was a member of the Nuka tribe who had done this, he cruelly annihilated the entire Nuka Tribe.
People unwittingly manipulated by Hitogami’s counsel.
Hitogami can only manipulate races that were once treated as humans in the Six-faced world (Human race, Demon race, Beast race, Ocean race, Heaven race, Dragon race). He cannot control entities that are not considered human.
Hitogami is capable of interfering in the destinies of three individuals at a time.
Due to Rudeus and Orsted joining forces and Rudeus switching sides to the enemy, Hitogami’s plans began to fail one after another, putting him in a tight spot.
After Rudeus’ death, Hitogami changed his strategy to incite his descendants to fight each other and is currently making preparations for this.
Hitogami saw a future where Lala, along with an unknown boy, defeated him. In order to avoid this future, he was determined to prevent her birth at all costs.
She is the cause of the scenario that leads to Hitogami’s obliteration in his future. If Lala had not been born, Hitogami would not have been defeated in the future.
Hitogami had been planning Roxy’s assassination from a very early stage.
Elder Rudeus’ intervention prevented her assassination.
Geese was deceived by Hitogami and his homeland was destroyed as a result.
Despite knowing that he is being used by Hitogami, Geese follows him under the belief that obeying Hitogami will ensure his survival, even if it leads to unpleasant outcomes.
Hitogami looks down on Geese, considering him as “trash” who can do nothing without him.
After the failure in the battle of the Asura Kingdom, Hitogami requested Geese’s cooperation. Geese complied in exchange for the realization of his own dreams.
It seems that he saw a future where Rudeus’ descendant and an unfamiliar man teamed up with Orsted to kill himself, so he repeatedly gives advice in Rudeus’ dreams, where “the curse of being trusted” does not work.
In the future vision he showed to Rudeus, Orsted, Akihito Shinohara, and many descendants of Rudeus, including Lala, had all their abilities sealed, and he himself was sealed.
Although initially considered a dubious character by Rudeus, he gradually gains Rudeus’ trust by repeatedly providing immediate gains.
After having his attempt to assassinate Roxy prevented by a warning from the future Rudeus, he threatens to kill Orsted, holding Rudeus’ family hostage, but after the battle with Orsted, Rudeus becomes one of Orsted’s subordinates, becoming an enemy.
He assists Darius in the battle of the Asura Kingdom, but is completely anticipated by Orsted and Rudeus regarding the intentions of his apostles, resulting in a devastating defeat.
After the battle in the Asura Kingdom, he explains the situation to Geese and seeks cooperation.
In the battle of the Shirone Kingdom, he succeeds in driving Pax to suicide.
He attempts to investigate Rudeus’ strength using Geese, but becomes angry when Geese autonomously sends a declaration of war letter to Rudeus.
Upon Geese’s defeat, he gives up on killing Rudeus, hides, and plans to manipulate descendants of Rudeus into killing each other after Rudeus’s death.
Rudeus receives a premonition from Hitogami at East Port. Hitogami advises Rudeus to go to Shirone and help Aisha and Lilia. As a condition, Rudeus is required to use a false name.
This event leads to Pax being taken hostage by the Kingdragon Kingdom and ultimately committing suicide.
He advises Rudeus that even if he goes to the Begaritt Continent to help Zenith, he will regret it to death.
He does not reveal the reason.
He advises Rudeus to enroll in the Magic University and investigate the teleportation incident to cure his ED.
Before Rudeus sees the basement, he is told by the future Rudeus that Roxy will be killed by infection from the Magic Stone Disease viruses that came out of the basement.
