Character Overview

  • A thief of the “Nuka tribe” belonging to demon race with a simian-like face.
  • A former member of the adventurer party “Fangs of the Black Wolf”. Zenith and Paul, Rudeus’s parents, were fellow adventurers in the same party.
  • During the Fittoa Region Teleport Incident, he searched for victims primarily in the Great Forest. Along the way, he asked the tribal leaders to send any victims they found to Milishion. However, he learned that a human child was captured in the Doldia tribe’s village, and in his quest to rescue the child, he willingly entered the prison. Upon seeing the child inside, whose attitude strongly resembled the old Paul, he immediately suspected that it might be his child.
  • After the incident in the Doldia tribe’s village, Rudeus started calling him “New guy”, while Geese referred to Rudeus as “Senpai”.
  • After parting ways with Rudeus and the others, he continued his search activities in the Begaritt Continent. He eventually reunited with Paul and the others, who had come to find Zenith based on information from Kishirika. Realizing that conquering the Teleportation Labyrinth would be difficult, he sent a rescue request to Rudeus and Elinalise without Paul’s permission.
  • He enjoys gambling and uses the party’s funds for it. His notoriety for this spread among adventurers, and after the adventurer party “Fangs of the Black Wolf”, led by Paul, disbanded, he stopped receiving invitations from other adventurer parties.

Character Settings

  • He’s an easy-going individual skilled at flattering and charming others.
  • He has various unique jinxes, such as “Nothing good happens when forming a party of four,” “I won’t teach cooking to anyone,” and “if not leaving binary choices to Ghislaine, everything will end in failure.”
  • He describes himself as a jack-of-all-trades who merely seeks to please the strong.
  • After the dissolution of the Fangs of the Black Wolf, he almost retired from adventuring and now lives as a gambler.
  • He operates behind the scenes, not making overt moves to avoid drawing attention, although this occasionally leads to unnecessary trouble.
  • He’s a skilled cook, capable of creating seasonings from wild herbs and tree nuts. He taught Zenith to cook, which led to Paul and Zenith’s marriage, ultimately resulting in the disbandment of the Black Wolf Fangs. As a result, he refrains from teaching cooking to others.
  • He’s a fervent gambler and has occasionally used the party’s funds for gambling, but he often returns with winnings, so his fellow members tend to overlook it. However, it seems he only gambles when funds are low.
  • He hails from the Demon Continent and, 30 years ago, when he was a fledgling adventurer, he was rescued by Rujierd from a monster attack.
  • Geese has been an apostle of the Hitogami multiple times in the past. He conceals this fact, and Orsted didn’t realize Geese’s role as an apostle of Hitogami throughout the time loops.
  • “Sword God” Gal・Farion pointed out that Geese doesn’t have a strong sense of indebtedness to Hitogami and he himself acknowledges it.
  • Together with fellow apostles of Hitogami, Badigadi and the Demon King Vita, Geese tried to challenge Rudeus. However, their motley crew with different objectives didn’t follow his lead, resulting in their defeat. After delivering the message that Hitogami acknowledged defeat due to the Flash of Light, he bid farewell to Ghislaine and died.
  • Geese’s grave was built next to Paul’s grave in Sharia.

The relationship with Hitogami

  • He was born as the son of the village chief of the Nuka tribe and lived a comfortable life. However, he found such a life uninteresting and left the village to become an adventurer, driven by the desire to achieve awe-inspiring feats.
  • He was mediocre in both swordsmanship and magic, capable only of menial tasks. At one point, he was on the brink of death during a mission but was saved with advice from Hitogami. He continued to rise in adventurer ranks with Hitogami’s guidance, but he harbored a growing sense of disillusionment, feeling that it was ultimately the power of others.
  • One day, his homeland was destroyed by Hitogami’s manipulation.
  • Upon learning the truth about his homeland’s destruction orchestrated by Hitogami, he shed tears of regret. However, he realized that without Hitogami’s guidance, he wouldn’t have survived, leading him to adopt a “gratitude for favors, resentment for wrongs” mentality. He continued to follow Hitogami’s advice.
  • Hitogami looked down on him, saying, “You’re nothing but trash without guidance.” However, since there was no one else who knew his true nature and was willing to follow him, he revealed everything to Hitogami and requested cooperation when Orsted and Rudeus teamed up to corner him.
  • After the battle in the Asura Kingdom, when Hitogami sought his assistance in defeating Rudeus, he agreed to betray Rudeus and cooperate with Hitogami, believing that his cooperation would prove his greatness if Hitogami emerged victorious.
  • Up until this point, he was unaware of Hitogami’s true objectives and even took actions that were detrimental to Hitogami, such as inviting Rudeus to the Begaritt Continent.

Skills

  • He lacks combat talent and cannot wield swords or magic, making him incapable of even fighting at an average level.
  • He self-proclaims to be “capable of anything other than combat” and excels in various miscellaneous tasks, including information gathering, setting directions, managing provisions, cooking, sorting and skinning materials, negotiating with merchants, and making evacuation decisions, all at a high level.
  • He is praised by Roxie as ‘there is no one more reliable in non-combat aspects.’ However, he personally regards himself as a ‘jack-of-all-trades,’ skilled only in handling what others struggle with.”
  • “He’s a man who can handle any menial task, but the work he excels at is typically the kind of chores that members of a high-ranking adventurer party would share among themselves. As a result, after the dissolution of the Fangs of the Black Wolf, he was no longer needed by other adventurer parties.”
