At the age of 566 in the year 417 of the Armored Dragon Calendar.
A warrior of the Speld Tribe who served as the captain of the personal guards of the Demon God Laplace.
Hails from the Babynos region of the Magic Continent.
Having fought for over 500 years, he is a battle-hardened warrior with combat abilities on par with an Emperor.
Eris, Ruijerd, and Rudeus formed the adventurer party “Dead End” in the town of Rikaris.
Appearance
Characterized by emerald green hair, white porcelain-like skin, and sensory organs resembling red gemstones on his forehead, a distinctive feature of his race. His face bears vertical scars, and he wears simple tribal attire.
He dyes his hair or shaves his head to hide his distinctive Speld Tribe features, knowing that revealing his green hair wouldn’t evoke much fear anymore.
During the mid-phase of the Laplace War, he was forced by the warrior brigade to wield a cursed spear created by Laplace, which gradually eroded his sanity. He lost the ability to distinguish friend from foe, even killing his own son. Breaking his son’s cursed spear restored his sanity. Swearing revenge against Laplace, he intervened in the battle against the Three Heroes who slayed the Demon God, leading to Laplace’s sealing and his revenge. This experience made him relentless against those who harm children, prioritizing protecting them no matter the cost.
Played a role in assisting Rudeus and Eris after they were transferred to the Magic Continent during the Fittoa Domain incident, serving as their escort to the Fittoa Domain.
Character Profiles
Reserved and stubborn personality. He holds his warrior pride high and treats those who tarnish his pride, beliefs, or justice as despicable scoundrels.
He can speak not only the Demon God language but also the Human and Beast God languages.
Skilled in battles involving chaos and complex terrain, he taught Eris advanced techniques of using eye contact to manipulate opponents’ movements.
He helped children and eliminated wrongdoers to restore the Speld Tribe’s honor. However, this approach backfired, causing fear and earning him the moniker “Dead End” as he was wrongly associated with targeting only children, leading to bounties on him.
Rudeus works to clear the Speld Tribe’s name. With the help of his sister, Norn, and Ruijerd’s figure, he disseminates Ruijerd’s biography in various places to reverse the tribe’s reputation.
Laplace cursed a spear with the power to evoke “fear from people,” resulting in the Speld Tribe being feared and disliked worldwide. By shaving his hair, the curse faded rapidly, and he was no longer excessively feared.
Witnessed Rudeus and Paul’s reunion in the Milis Theocracy and was acquainted with Paul.
After escorting Rudeus and Eris to the Fittoa Domain, he resumed his journey to find fellow Speld Tribe members.
He coincidentally rescued Norn in Eastport and, at Paulo’s request, escorted Norn and Aisha to Rudeus’s Shariah.
Guided by Badigadi to a Speld Tribe village in the Biheiril Kingdom, where he agreed to the presence of the deity Vita to suppress the spread of a plague.
However, he got infected with the plague himself. Geese bargained to control him, planning to attack the village under the guise of saving it. Vita intervened to treat the plague, a result of Geese’s past actions that nearly exterminated the Plume Tribe.
Reunited with Rudeus in Chapter 23, he intended to accompany him despite the threat he posed. However, he unknowingly transmitted Geese’s infection to Rudeus, manipulated by Geese. The infection led to a confrontation and Vita’s intervention.
Due to the “Laxus Bone Ring,” Vita died, and though he initially collapsed, he recovered through Cliff’s treatment. After fully recovering, he promised his assistance to Rudeus.
